Natural Health - Essential Oils For the Sensitive Person

When I first experienced therapeutic grade essential oils eleven years ago, I had this self-centered fleeting thought..."Oh my! These were made for me!" Until then I was somewhat "unimpressed" with my experiences with "aromatherapy". I studied a few "aromatherapy" courses as part of my holistic nursing education and, yes, I had my little bottle of lavender in my medicine cabinet. Other than sprinkling it on my pillow or dripping it into my bathtub, I never learned much else to do with lavender, and I was warned not to put it on my body without diluting it with four times the amount of massage essential oil roll on set . Kind of scared me. But I didn't want to put it on my body. It smelled somewhat perfumey and since I am environmentally and energetically sensitive, the last thing I wanted to do was to put a substance on my body that has synthetic chemicals in it, even if it did have a pleasant scent. It wasn't until I learned about...

If there is anything to be a discussion about medicinal plants and essential oils, we must become conscious of the fact that unconventional medicine is one thing that we must first think about. How Bergamot Essential Oil is Made

What could be more delightful than the bright, sparkling citrus aroma of freshly distilled Bergamot? About two years ago, I traveled to Calabria in the south of Italy to visit an organic Bergamot distiller. Distiller Giuseppe Cuzzupi and his sister Elena warmly welcomed us at our hotel with regional bottles of Bergamot aperitifs and Bergamot jam. We drove along the coast and the rural countryside of the toe of Italy to Giuseppe's Bergamot production essential oil digize . Here we learned how the rinds of the fruit are transformed through an abrasion and pressing process into the bright olive green essential oil we all know and love. Does Fish Oil Cause Constipation

Does fish oil cause constipation? This is a question I was asked not too long ago, and to be truthful, I had to go ahead and do some more research before I could answer the question. I take fish oil supplements, and I have never yet been constipated because of them, but of course not everyone is the same. Maybe essential oils constipation  they could have this effect on some people, hence the reason why I decided to do further research before answering the question I had received. After spending hours and hours searching the internet, my conclusion is that fish oil and/or omega-3 supplements do not cause constipation. Ironically, most of the information I uncovered tends to suggest it has the exact opposite effect, in that it can actually be used to relieve constipation. Some people claim that they cannot take omega-3 supplements because it gives them diarrhea, so again, this would suggest there is very little chance of fish oil being linked to constipation. These supplement...

Learn Massage Therapy

Learning Massage Therapy is not as comprehensive and complex compared to that of learning to become a licensed physician, nurse, or physical therapist, of which only requires about 20,000 hours to complete, at the most. Some subjects included in a typical massage therapy training program are: Anatomy, Business Ethics, Pathology, Physiology, Human Relations, Hydrotherapy, Kinesiology, Nutrition and Health, and Theory and Technique. The overall training program is rather very simplistic in its approach that puts much emphasis on practicing the art in order for students to master the chosen and preferred techniques wholeheartedly. Many massage therapy schools here and abroad conduct regular hands-on training seminars on the most popular massage techniques such as the Swedish Massage, Thai Massage, Shiatsu Massage, and Aromatherapy roll on . The Swedish massage is the most popular and common of all massage types that is being used in countries like the United States and Canada. Mas...

Essential Oils and Love, Sex and Soul

Many essential oils used in aromatherapy are believed to encourage loving feelings and to exert an aphrodisiac action. For instance, jasmine oil has long been used in love sachets and incenses not only to enhance romantic love but spiritual love as well. The Sufis revere jasmine as a symbol of both romantic and spiritual love. Kama, the Hindu god of love, tipped his arrows with jasmine flowers so they would have the power to infuse the heart with desire. Rose oil is another example in this reference. Since ancient times, rose oil has been consistently classified as an oil of love, femininity and emotional feeling. Roman brides and bridegrooms were crowned with roses, as were the images of Venus and Cupid, and rose petals were scattered on the marriage bed. When Cleopatra invited Mark Antony to her palace, she had the floor covered with roses because of her fervent belief in the romantic power of the rose's scent. And among some American Indian tribes, braves gathered wild roses f...

The DHA in the Omega 3 helps to keep us happy, but you must be aware that if or when these DHA levels ever get low, then we shall suffer from periods of depression and other emotional distress. Avoiding Seasonal Health Challenges With Essential Oils

The use of essential oil roll on set to combat colds, flu, viruses and other bacteria has been prevalent at least since the Middle Ages. It is reported that during the plagues that persisted in that time period, those who used plants or oils such as workers in the lavender fields or herb gardeners, were able to survive while many around them succumbed to disease. As the seasons change, we are often met with challenges to our health including colds, flu and viral infections. Today's modern medicine has attempted to formulate antibiotics and vaccines to combat even more complex flu viruses, bacterial infections and what are termed super germs. Oil Pulling for Improved Health

Recently a couple friends of mine where talking about oil pulling, at the time I had no idea what they were talking about, however after a little research and having a go at it myself I thought this is too cool not to share. Thieves roll on pulling is very simple, natural, lost cost technique that is an ancient Ayurvedic practice used to promote good oral health, as well as over all health of the body. All it takes is a spoonful (table spoon) of cold pressed sesame or sunflower oil. You can try other vegetable oils, but these are said to work the best. I of course added one drop of Thieves oil for flavor and added benefits. For 15-20 minutes swish the oil around in your mouth sucking and pushing it through the teeth, and once you are finished you spit it out. Ideally this would be done in the morning on an empty stomach before brushing your te...
